No. 10.5 Skillet

Years ago, cast iron cookware was made to a higher standard. Increasing production costs and pressure from aluminum cookware forced cast iron manufacturers to look for lower-cost methods. This change in production method resulted in the inexpensive cast iron cookware we see on the mass market today which is notably heavier and rougher than it should be. In order to cast this skillet to the tolerances and finishes we were looking for, we turned to a casting method called Investment (or lost wax) casting which has never been used before to create cast iron cookware. It is an extremely labor-intensive process, but we think it’s worth it. With the 10.5” skillet we have brought back the casting quality that existed years ago. If you could only have one pan in the kitchen the 10.5” Cast Iron may be your best choice. Cast by hand in Michigan

Easy cast iron, even for newbies!

The pan is nice and lightweight. I thought it was small at first, but it has been easily making everything I want to make. I love how I don’t have to excessively spread out the burgers or steaks to prevent the pan from cooling too much. My daughter has made it her new go to pan for eggs. I’m a somewhat newbie to cast iron but she is definitely brand new, so I had to reseason (just one coat) after she left it soaking in water. The pan is very responsive to adjusting the temp on our gas stove. It heats up faster than my stainless steel does. I love it!

This pan hasn’t left the stove top.

I’ve used the pan everyday since purchase ... maybe 10 days. Eggs, meat, sandwiches, warming leftover Chinese, Strata. Works awesome.

Unbelievably superior

I was not aware how nice it would be! Nothing like anything that I've seen before! This skillet will easily be my most favorite "go to" for everything. Well worth the money!
