Marquette Castings Recipe Contest Rules

 

 

This contest begins on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 and will continue to run until Wednesday,September 27, 2017. The grand prize winner will be announced by Monday, October 2nd, 2017. Details for this contest are listed below:

ELIGIBILITY

Participation constitutes full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of these Official Rules. Marquette Castings Dutch Oven Recipe Contest is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, residing in the United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of Marquette Castings, their immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to win prizes in the contest. No purchase necessary. This Contest is offered in the U.S. only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to U.S. law. GENERAL RULES OF THE CONTEST

All entrants in this Contest agree to the Recipe Submission Disclaimer. To enter the Contest, the entrant must submit a recipe using the Marquette Castings Dutch Oven Recipe Contest submission form. A limit of 5 recipes per person. Recipes must be made in a Dutch Oven. Entry must: (1) include recipe name and the number of servings that the recipe yields, (2) use ingredients available in most grocery stores; (3) list ingredients with measurements; (4) include step-by-step preparation and cooking directions; (5) include entrant's name, complete address with zip code, e-mail address and telephone number with area code. All entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017.

 

Entries will be judged separately, in accordance with the judging criteria, as defined below. Selection of winners will consist of both popular vote through the Marquette Castings contest platform and Marquette Castings staff. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Entries must be made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, internet domain owner, or other person or organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

SELECTION OF FINALISTS AND WINNERS

Each recipe submitted must be approved by a member of Marquette Castings recipe selection committee. Recipes may be approved or rejected based on suitability (for example, must comply with rules) for the Contest at the discretion of Marquette Castings. Only those recipes approved will be deemed eligible to win the Contest.

 

The grand prize winner will be selected based on the recipe with the most number of votes. In event of a tie, a member of the Marquette Castings staff. will determine the winner.

 

Members of the Marquette Castings staff will determine the two runner-up winners. Any given participant is only allowed to win one major prize. Recipes will be judged based on the following criteria: popular vote, creativity, ease of execution (how easy is this recipe to make by the average home cook), taste test (the top recipes may be cooked and tasted by judges to determine taste), and entry content (additional information provided).

Winners will be notified via email (at the email address provided in the Sweepstakes entry) to confirm acceptance of the prize and to verify the mailing address for the prize. Potential winner must respond within five (5) days of first attempted notification or at Marquette Castings. sole discretion he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.

Winners will then be announced by Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at www.marquettecastings.com as well as on our social pages.

Marquette Castings assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible, stolen or lost entries. Marquette Castings reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules. Marquette Castings further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or any other causes beyond the control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the contest. In the event of cancellation, Marquette Castings reserves the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the contest is prohibited. In the event of a dispute regarding an online entry, entry will be deemed made by the holder of an established e-mail account associated with the entry.

 

VOTING RULES

Voting will take place in the Marquette Castings Dutch Oven Recipe contest page which is hosted and run by Shortstack. Voters can vote 1 time per day. Automated or multiple voting mechanisms are strictly prohibited. Any votes suspected by Marquette Castings to be fraudulent may be disqualified.

 

RECIPE RIGHTS

By submitting your recipe, you are agreeing that you are submitting an original recipe that has not been copied or reproduced from any published or copyrighted source and trademarked names are not used.

 

By submitting your recipe, you grant us (Marquette Castings) and our visitors a royalty-free license to edit, publish, create derivatives works from, and otherwise use the recipe, at no charge, in any medium and for any purpose.

 

You will include your name and email address. Recipes posted on this website are attributed to the individual that submitted the recipe. Information you disclose will be available to all users of the website, so you should be mindful of personal information and other content you post.

PRIZE DESCRIPTION

The grand prize winner will receive a Maquette Castings 6 QT. Dutch Oven with a retail value of $89.95. A 4 QT. Dutch Oven with a retail value of $79.95 and a reversible Grill/Griddle with a retail value of $84.95. Category winners will receive Maquette Castings 6 QT. Dutch Oven with a retail value of $89.95. Colors may be chosen by the winners but are subject to availability.

 

RELEASE

BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU RELEASE AND HOLD MARQUETTE CASTINGS AND ALL MARKETING AGENTS HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST OR RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF, OR DEFECTS IN, A PRIZE, OR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION CLAIMS BASED ON PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE, PUBLICITY OR PRIVACY RIGHTS, AND/OR DEFAMATION.

DISPUTES

Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) unless otherwise prohibited, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Marquette Castings in connection with the contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.
