Great product.

Received my 4 qt. dutch oven in iron red and pressed it into service baking bread. Preheated to 500 degrees and cooked at 425 degrees. It performed beautifully and clean-up was a snap. Looking forward to long service from this unit.

beauty and perhaps beastly limitations?

when my wife opened this Christmas present we were both presently surprised on how beautiful it is. It is a visual delight and it performed well for risotto but i was disappointed to discover that it can not be heated empty. There are many recipes for breads that require the dough to be placed in a hot dutch oven. What is the issue with heating this dutch oven empty? And what is the impact of doing so?

Hello, Daniel! Thanks so much for the review! This is a great question and I'm so glad you asked it. You actually can heat the Dutch Oven while it is empty, it just needs to warm up at the same time as your oven. Place your empty Dutch Oven into your cold oven and then let them preheat together. We are always happy to help at, please don't ever hesitate to reach out! Kind regards, Sarah

Dutch Oven *****

I have both the 6 qt and 4 qt Dutch Oven. I use them both in regular rotation in my kitchen. I highly recommend them both.

So far, so great!

I’ve only used it once so far, but if first impressions count, I’m in love! Also love the flat black I chose.
